EN 12424 - Industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates - Resistance to wind load – Classification


EN 12424 defines wind load resistance classes for doors and gates, based on their ability to maintain structural integrity and functionality during exposure to excessive wind loads


Aim

  • Classify doors into classes from 0 to 5, depending on the wind pressure/suction withstood;
  • Provide a selection criterion for designers, installers and customers based on intended use (indoor/outdoor, suction area, compartment size).
